Sophia Dembling

In 2009, I published an essay about being an introverted traveler that raised an enormous chorus of amen from readers and launched my career as a professional introvert. Since then, as a blogger and author, I’ve looked at introversion—my own and others’—every which way. My goal is to help all introverts understand and honor their own introversion to live successful lives on their own terms.

My books include Introverts in Love: The Quiet Way to Happily Ever After; The Introvert’s Way: Living a Quiet Life in a Noisy World; and 100 Places in the USA Every Woman Should Go and The Making of Dr. Phil: The Straight-Talking True Story of Everyone’s Favorite Therapist. My work has also been included in several anthologies, including Best Women’s Travel Writing 2006 and 2009; Cat Women: Female Writers on their Feline Friends; and P.S. What I Didn’t Say: Unsent Letter to Our Female Friends.
